- JD Wetherspoon Autumn Real Ale Festival

Moon & Spoon
ON FRIDAY 10th THERE IS BRANCH SOCIAL from 7.30pm hosted by Steve (07881 682017).
The 12-day extravaganza, showcasing up to 30 festival ales, with 5 international brewers runs from Wednesday 1 October until Sunday 12 October (inclusive) across the 3 pubs in our branch area:
- Bear, Maidenhead
- Moon & Spoon, Slough
- King & Castle, Windsor.
The overseas brewers are from - watch this space for an update!.
The festival will include a number of beers not previously available at Wetherspoon.
Among the festival collection are vegan (also suitable for vegetarians) beers. Full allergen information about all of the beers featured can be found on this website, by searching for a pub here, on the app and on the customer information screens.

Great news! The Autumn edition of CAMRAngle magazine will be arriving in pubs across our area very soon. Inside, you'll find a pamphlet detailing how to take part in the inaugural Maidenhead Ale Trail. We’ll also be delivering A4 posters and additional pamphlets to all eight participating pubs.

6. Maidenhead Conservative Social Club.
7. Off the Tap.
8. The Craufurd Arms.
The launch party for the Ale Trail will take place at the Craufurd Arms on Sunday, 12th October, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
At the recent committee meeting of the Slough, Windsor & Maidenhead CAMRA branch, I was honoured to be elected as Chairman, while continuing in my role as Pub Protection Officer. The committee also voted to contribute £100 towards promotional materials and the MAT souvenir badges.
If you have any promotional items or prizes suitable for the charity raffle at the closing party, please do get in touch at ku.gro.armac.mws@namriahc.
The closing party will be held at the Maiden’s Head on Sunday, 16th November, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Any surplus funds will be donated to Maidenhead Foodshare, our chosen charity this year.

Based on the success of the lunchtime social on the First Thursday and the evening Thirsty Third Thursday social, both at the Bear, Bob has launched his Pay Day Friday Social on the 4th Friday of the month at the Hoppy Place, Maidenhead from 6pm.
A chance to wind down with like minded friends at the popular bar.

THIS IS A BRANCH SOCIAL hosted by Alan - Saturday afternoon session (noon to 5pm).
Its back again, so buy your tickets, which includes a souvenir Datchet Beer Festival glass,

Datchet Beer Festival is run by 2nd Datchet Scouts (Registered Charity number 300668) who allocate all the profits to scouting in Datchet.

The festival is open to non-members.
The club is a short walk from Egham station.
The beer list will be available closer to the date at Egham united Services Club.

- Barleycorn 40th Anniversary Celebration

Come and join in the fun on Saturday 8th November to celebrate the Barleycorn being run by the same family.

For those who haven't been to the Barleycorn before Bus Route 5 from Slough stops a matter of yards away from the pub (which is by Cippenham Pond) and takes around 25 minutes, but runs until 23.00. The other option is to catch the train to Burnham and the Barleycorn is about 20 minutes walk from Burnham Railway Station.
