The British Legion will be holding their second beer festival of 2024 this May Bank Holiday.

- Barleycorn Bank Holiday Festival

THERE WILL A BRANCH SOCIAL ON SUNDAY AT 1PM led by Steve Goodall (07881 682017).
There will be approx. 40 beers & ciders plus many gins. In addition there will be a bouncy castle on Saturday & Sunday, live music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. BBQ Saturday and hog roast on Sunday.

The pub has been gaining a reputation of being a haven for real ale drinkers. There will be a great range of beers and ciders from a selection of local breweries, so well worth a visit. As usual these beers will be served from the excellent stillage in the back room, where all casks and ciders are cooled.
For those who haven't been to the Barleycorn before Bus Route 5 from Slough stops a matter of yards away from the pub (which is by Cippenham Pond) and takes around 25 minutes. Bus Route A4 from Slough runs later and stops on the A4 Bath Road, less that 10 minutes' walk from the Barleycorn, an half hourly service but runs until to 23.00. Get off by Thrifty Car & Van Rental which is between Halfords and McDonalds and walk down Brook Path, when it meets Lower Cippenham Lane - just past the Royal British Legion - turn right and the pub is about 100 yards on your left. Alternatively the Barleycorn is about 20 minutes walk from Burnham Railway Station.

Open times: 11 to 11 Fri, Sat & Mon. Noon to 10.30 Sunday. Where will be 65 rare and one off real ales from around the UK, plus Ciders, Perries and draught foreign beer.
BBQ available Sat/Sun from 5 to 9pm and Mon noon to 3pm. weather permitting.
